Christmas 2011 at the Harper's

Here are highlights from Christmas Eve and Christmas day!

We had our annual Christmas Eve program along with our very own Mary and Joseph.

Baby Seth starred in his first role as Baby Jesus. (We did have an unhappy angel/shepherd.)

Sunday because of church, we opened family presents after dinner around 4:30! Everyone had fun posing!

Ryan was also wearing new clothes in this picture.

Sveta loved her new table runner that Tracy made her.

Ethan loves to build with Legos. I think he got four different sets.

Sydney loves princesses and was excited to get these games.

Haily could not wait to open up more presents at Grandma's.

Sveta got excited about having a wireless router for their house!

I just love this picture of Ethan holding Seth. Little Seth pretty much slept through his first Christmas and visit to Grandma's house.

Fun and Yum!!!!

We had our second annual chocolate dipping class Saturday at Susan Brown's.

What fun everyone had creating some wonderful Christmas chocolates!

We did peanut butter cups as well as fudge dipped in chocolate (is that enough chocolate for you?)!

Just look at all of that chocolate!

Between the stirring of chocolate with our fingers, the visiting and chatting was wonderful.

We did try to help clean up and it wasn't too bad after licking the bowls!

A Ward Christmas Scavenger Hunt!

Our ward had our Christmas party on Saturday and we went on a Scavenger Hunt to find baby Jesus. With clues, we went to different rooms and heard stories and finally found him! It was an enjoyable evening and great food!

We met with the innkeeper that turned the couple away.

We had a shepherd who told us his experience!

Joseph told us his story!

Here is one of the wise men!

Of course, we visited with Mary!

And finally baby Jesus! We left him a gift of what we could do for Him!

A taste of the Harper Christmas 2009

I'm still trying to get caught up on the Christmas pictures and activities. Here are some highlight pictures of the big day!

We decided instead of going to a photographer with crowds and having to wait we'd take our own family pictures this year. We used our nice camera and Michael even got a wireless remote that will click the picture so everyone can be in them.

It went pretty well, but let's just say that they are not professional but do have more character to them than the professional everything is right pictures. He's a slideshow of what we got!

Christmas in Nauvoo Ward Christmas party

Here's a video of the preparation pictures of our ward Christmas Party last week. Somehow we got busy and didn't get crowds this time! I'll post some short videos tomorrow!

Flip HD pocket video

With all of the family coming home this year for Christmas, I wanted to be able to record a lot of the memories since we never know when we'll all be together again. I gave this little HD video recorder to Kevin and Bonnie last year for Christmas and thought it would be wonderful to have one to keep handy when I'm playing with the children and all of the family are here over the holidays.

Here's my first try with Michael! I'm going to try it out tomorrow at our ward Christmas party!
